Overview

Its Awesome! See it ASAP. This film is full of excellent Norwegian folklore. Its Part comedy/horror/action adventure all wrapped up in one sweet film....Its more comedy then anything. The premise seems so cheesy but its actually really entertaining. Its not perfect, at times it does seem to drag on. But the cinematography is great. At times it feels like a BBC special highlighting the scenic Norwegian fjords. It actually looks a lot like the Puget Sound here in Washington. but I gave it a 10 for originality which seems to be lacking these days. The special Effects look really good and the jerky documentary style is not nauseating like Blair witch. I recommend everyone to rent it when it comes out (don't torrent it like me) We need more Norwegian films distributed in the US! After watching this I think I will check out the Finnish film: "Rare exports". Its about another common Scandinavian character: Santa claus

Oh yeah, they smell Christian blood! lol

Overview

Having recently lost her sight, Ingrid retreats to the safety of her home—a place where she can feel in control, alone with her husband and her thoughts. After a while, Ingrid starts to feel the presence of her husband in the flat when he is supposed to be at work. At the same time, her lonely neighbor who has grown tired of even the most extreme pornography shifts his attention to a woman across the street. Ingrid knows about this but her real problems lie within, not beyond the walls of her apartment, and her deepest fears and repressed fantasies soon take over.

so you know there are some films that make you want to make an account just to write a review; this is one of them.. also i just couldn't bare the norwegian propaganda guy. I've seen some positives review here as well, but they were too long and i didn't want to read them so i'll keep it short as well

*the cinematography is good, especially in the begging of the film; I especially liked the first few scene's camera position and angles *in some places the use of sound is outstanding, which has to be a requirement for a blind person movie *the main actress is hot *The "dream sequences" are nice, I am a fan of surreal movies, and this hits the mark despite stating too plainly what is going on

the main negative i can think of is that protagonist is not a really good writer, though it kinda makes the film more believable

so i\d recommend it

Dark Scandinavian crime movies being all the rage lately, this intelligent, action-packed thriller didn't disappoint. I went into the film without reading the book or indeed knowing a single thing about the film. I enjoyed it.

I was drawn into this northern world with its interesting people and beautiful natural scenery. What also made this movie stand out was the fast-paced plot with many unusual and unexpected twists. It is the kind of film that has you glued to your seat to see what could possibly happen next to the main character. Roger Brown, the headhunter, becomes headhunted. (But what's the story with the English name??)

No movie is perfect. There were a few plot problems and I have to admit I looked at my watch half way through, despite the fast pace.

Perhaps the film could be faulted for showing only two types of Norwegians: rich sophisticates and yokels (all blond of course). Aren't there any ordinary middle-class people in Norway?

Also, some of the scenes may be too difficult for the squeamish to watch. Not exessive, but just a little over the top.

I'd give this film a higher score, but I am not a fan of the genre. Still, I did enjoy it for what it was and would recommend it to anyone. It's a good movie.

This movie does the impossible. It is a sequel that is better than the original, it takes the zombie genre and makes it interesting again, it also leaves room for a third movie without it looking shoehorned in.

Funny, gory and tense but you also have some scenes with really good acting. This raises the bar for the movie "stakeland 2 " whenever that comes out.

I gave it an extra star for the surprising end scene... didn't see that one coming.

There are still some loose ends that i would like to see wrapped up in a third movie, but anyone that liked stakeland, evil dead, braindead or comedy zombiemovies in general - this is a must see.

The freezing cold and snowy setting is always going to make this film just that little bit different from others but its story line certainly won't. Two drug gangs, an innocent victim and someone is out for revenge. Familiar stuff but at first it moves along nicely enough with some heavy and bloody violence. Then things settle into a predictable routine of killings and hence the film's title. Maybe partly because the film makers realised things were becoming slightly farcical they allow humour to creep in and certainly in the audience I shared people began to titter at everything from then on. Bit of a shame but there seemed no prospect of the 'heavy' film getting back on track and although the final denouement is fine, I had originally expected much more and the diversion with the kidnap probably not helpful either.
